Alternative Education progammes
X Adventure Activities has developed an intensive, challenging, rewarding and highly focused programme that is designed for a group of up to 12 young people within year groups 9 – 11.
The L.E.A.D programme is aimed at young people lacking in self-confidence, peer awareness, motivation towards education and communication skills.

Adventure
DevelopmentThe project is primarily aimed at young people who may be at risk of under achievement in aspects of their school life through lack of confidence, low self-esteem and lack of social and personal effectiveness. For the programme to succeed it is essential that the participants are motivated to take part in the programme.
An important aspect of the L.E.A.D programme would also involve the building of young people’s ability to focus on goals and objectives and to challenge perceptions.
There is substantial research evidence to suggest that outdoor adventure programmes can impact positively on young people’s attitudes, beliefs and self perceptions; including self governance and interpersonal and social skills.Programme outline The programme has a duration of six weeks and includes 10 full days of activities and challenges. The fourth week consists of a full weeks residential visit to North Wales.
